Me and You

Age: 10,11,
Project Year: 2010

Students worked on developing relationships with their partner school while getting to know their locality

To date, the children have communicated with each other via the forums on moodle. They have chatted about different aspects of their home and school lives. The children have filled up their own pupil profiles and posted these to the wikis and read the profiles of the children in the other school. We have also designed "dissolving boundaries" noticeboards in the classrooms. As the year continued we worked on our own schools, taking pictures etc and sharing these with our partners. Dissolving boundaries day was great fun getting the t-shirts and going on-line to chat with each other.

Face-to-Face

We had our face to face meeting in June in the Armagh Planetarium. The children had lunch together to begin and after that we went into the theatre where we saw a really cool video and learned loads of new things about space and the planets. After that the children took part in some science experiments and before we went home the children had some time to get to know each other better. They really enjoyed their day.
